Between November 6th and 17th, 2023, Dundee will play host to a series of events showcasing the achievements of the digital sector and opportunities it has to offer for learners of all ages. Dundee Digital Fortnight will commemorate and celebrate the substantial impact of all things digital on our city.

8th November – Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Local Government Roundtable - “AI and the opportunity it brings to transformation in Local Government” 
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been with us for decades, but the latest developments in areas such as Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative Pretrained Transformers (GPT) represent the biggest advancements in tech since the internet became widely available. But AI is often misunderstood, and its full range of capabilities are only beginning to be established. While there are many myths about AI, it does present potential challenges – alongside almost limitless opportunities – for local government and the citizens councils serve. Aimed at Local Government In this roundtable session, you will get chance to deeply engage with the topic and explore with colleagues from across local government, Amazon Web Services and Salesforce on how AI can help you achieve the best outcomes for the citizens you serve.

  • Dundee and Angus College are the first in Scotland to launch a top of the range, cutting-edge esports and broadcasting facility located at Gardyne Campus and we are delighted to invite you to the official opening of the studios. Whether you're a hardcore gamer, a casual enthusiast, or just curious about the esports and education scene come along for a tour and demonstration with the students from our first cohort of the Esports and Creative Industries Foundation Degree course!

Inclusivity is a hot topic in the industry, this event will feature key figures in the Dundee tech scene who will discuss inclusivity within videogame’s businesses.
